VYPA ACADEMY

Australia’s First Canoe Polo Academy

VYPA offers junior and youth players aged 12-21 the opportunity to develop their canoe polo through the VYPA Academy. Players are provided with comprehensive training and development in all areas of canoe polo including boat and ball skills, gameplay, tactics, and off-water strength and conditioning.

The VYPA Academy offers young players pathways to state and national representation as well as opportunities to compete in premier competitions throughout Australia and New Zealand, with the potential for international development tours to Europe and Asia. Canoe Polo is played in 6 continents around the world and the premier events for polo include the World Championships, World Games, Continental Championships, Junior Canoe Polo International (Ireland), and the Canoe Polo Super League (China).

All Youth and Junior players are encouraged to apply for the VYPA Academy. We accept players of varying skill levels that show a high level of passion and self-motivation to develop within the sport. While the bulk of training and development will occur within Victoria, interstate players are welcome to apply and can be provided with training and development programs they can complete in their state along with assistance in travelling for development camps and tournaments.
